We have some exciting news to share: Boca Boutique was just featured in Sarasota Magazine's June 2026 issue! Writer Lauren Jackson stopped by the shop, and we loved getting to talk about what makes this little corner of South Tamiami Trail so special to us.

When Dixi opened Boca Boutique in early 2023, she brought her years of interior design experience with her, along with a very clear vision: a place where people could walk in and immediately feel something. Joy, inspiration, that little spark you get when you find exactly the right thing.
"I created the shop out of a love for beautiful things," she says. "But it's so much more than that now. It's become a place where people can come together with friends or family and discover special finds."
That spirit shows up in every corner of the store, from the whimsical coastal decor to the locally made pieces from Sarasota artists, the jewelry cases, the kids' section, and yes, the section dedicated to a certain French bulldog named Boca who inspired it all.
One of the things we hear most from our regulars is that they're always finding something they haven't seen before. That's very much by design.
"Everything is always changing here," Dixi says. "It's part of the fun. Even if you were in a month ago, when you come in again, there'll be a lot of new things."
Sarasota Magazine spotlighted a few of our current favorites in the article, including the alligator napkin rings, a beaded lemon tote that's basically summer in a bag, and our Florida mugs (tourist or local, they're hard to resist). Being part of the Sarasota community has always meant more to us than just being a shop on South Tamiami Trail. We've been proud to support causes close to our hearts, from our annual breast cancer awareness weekend in October that benefits Team Tony Cancer Foundation, to events with Suncoast Stars Community and Big Water Land Trust.
Earlier this year we were also honored to receive the Starfish Award from Seaside Retailer magazine, which recognizes coastal retail stores making a difference through charitable giving. It truly meant the world to us.
"To whom much is given, much is expected," Dixi says. That's always been the philosophy here.
